BonGousse

BonGousse
BonGousse Rice Burger

BonGousse from outside.
It's that time of the year again when you have so many things to do, assignments are all due at once and you are just soooo busy! Yes, finals are coming...

Today, I wanted to post about BonGousse Rice Burger because I think it might be helpful to some of you. BonGousse defines its rice burgers as rice balls that look like burgers. By the way, I heard that 'BonGousse' is a French word?

When people are in hurry or very busy and they don't have time to sit down for a meal, they grab something simple to eat like sandwich, hamburgers, kimbab etc. Rice burgers can be an option too ;) They are affordable & filling!

I paid 1500 won for the standard BonGousse Rice Burger and I found it quite filling! So I thought it wasn't a bad deal!

Menu
Yes, it's in Korean..
Price range: 1500+
There are many options you can choose from. I chose the standard one (It has Tuna & Kimchi in it). Maybe I will try something different next time.

I will translate few in English. There are 'pork cutlet rice burgers', 'ham rice burgers', 'cheese rice burgers', 'beef bulgogi rice burgers,'chicken galbi rice burgers,' 'Kimchi bulgogi rice burgers' and so on. If you need help to read the menu then please let me know and I will translate it for you.

Do you know what is special about these rice burgers?

There is a special way of eating them!

1. Get your burger
2. Squash it with your hands
3. Unwrap it a little bit and...
BITE! yum yum

There were so many people in the restaurant so I couldn't eat mine there but you can eat yours at the restaurant! You can also eat it using a spoon if you prefer it that way.

There are many BonGousees around, especially in university areas as these burgers are quite popular among students.I went to the one near Yonsei University, in Shinchon.

Quite convenient option for students in Shinchon if they are looking for a quick meal! :)

Only takes 5 minutes on foot from the front gate of Yonsei University!

Seoul Photo Festival 2013

Seoul Photo Festival 2013
2013 서울사진축제

One of my interests has always been photography.I am not a good photographer myself but I have always enjoyed looking at photographs~

There were two events related to photography which I REALLY wanted to go! One was an exhibition of 130 images from the LIFE Picture Collection and the other was Seoul Photo Festival 2013! I couldn't go to the LIFE exhibition :( So that made me want to go even more to the photo festival :D

The festival's focus was on portraits of people. The collection of photos included those from 1883 when photography was first brought into Korea. Photos were from various times and thus they all reflected different social, historical and cultural values of Korea.

The festival was held at Seoul Museum of Art.

Seoul Museum of Art
I don't remember visiting this museum before so maybe it was my first time at the museum or maybe I visited when I was young and I just don't remember that I had. Anyway it looks like this →

I think it took me about five minutes from City Hall station exit 10 on foot to the museum.

Entrance to the exhibition hall.
I couldn't take many pictures this time because I thought it was not allowed to take photos in the exhibition hall!

Although I saw some people taking photos in the exhibition hall, I thought it was better not to..

I went with a German friend.I take a while to look around when I go to exhibitions because I like to look at arts in detail and that sometimes annoyed my friends as I was too slow for them. But, my friend waited for me patiently which was very nice of him. Maybe he was secretly annoyed? haha I don't know :P

Anyway, it was an interesting experience and I am so glad that I went :) & thanks to my friend for joining me today!

Yes, I know that by the time I upload this post, the exhibition would have ended but I still wanted to upload it because it was such a nice experience! This exhibition was held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and it holds an exhibition related to photography every year , so you should look out for next year's exhibition! (it will have a different theme)

There was another exhibition that was on when I went, called "Nordic Passion: Architecture & Design from the Nordic Countries" which also seemed quite interesting! So if any of you is interested in it, you should go!

MORE PHOTOS OF THE DAY

An interesting artwork by a Dutch artist?
(If I remember it correctly)
I really wanted to go on it
but so many people were waiting for their turns
& we were very hungry
so we decided to find a restaurant instead!

A pretty Christmas tree
in front of the city hall.
Yes, Christmas is coming...
